Brandon Farwell is a partner at Xfund. Prior to Xfund, he was an investment professional at DFJ focused on software investments, including Box (NYSE: BOX), Yammer (acquired by MSFT), Newsle (acquired by LNKD), SugarCRM, Insight Squared, and Planet, in addition to other frontier investments. After DFJ, he helped build the 150-company portfolio at Rothenberg Ventures nearly from the beginning, including companies such as SpaceX, Planet, Robinhood, Bustle, Matterport, Gusto, Revel, Meta, Boom, Kespry, Andela, 8i, Nearpod, SweetIQ (acquired by GCI), Accelo, Customer.io and others. That portfolio was externally awarded number one in VR/AR and frontier technology by Goldman Sachs, CB Insights, Pitchbook, and others.

Brandon also spent time in sales operations and corporate development at Box. His passions and focus are mainly on enterprise technologies, notably machine intelligence, VR/AR, robotics, space, autonomous vehicles, and drones. He was honoured by Forbes in their 30 Under 30 Venture Capital list in 2015. Brandon is currently a formal adviser to CASIS, chosen by NASA in 2011 to manage, promote, and broker research on the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. National Laboratory capable of benefiting life on Earth.

Brandon received a bachelor’s in economics and international relations from Stanford University. He helped run Stanford’s entrepreneurship program called BASES and was awarded Pac 12 All-Academic Team honours as a varsity rower. Brandon also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Rock Ventures Fellow.
