As a proven business builder, Kristi focuses on driving and delivering positive change. She believes passionately in the power of entrepreneurs to innovate, create employment, and make our communities better, more prosperous places to live and work.
Kristi is a partner in NPC Ventures. Other than running day-to-day operations, she is responsible for fundraising, limited partner relations, leading and managing a team, key infrastructure and policy, process development, deal sourcing, and the conduct and oversight of investment due diligence.
While working at First West Capital, Kristi helped the company transform from a start-up to a national junior capital firm that funded more than $250 million to 100+ businesses. She was recognized by Ernst & Young as the Pacific Region’s 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year in the category of Business Disrupter for this work.
At NPC Ventures, Kristi is helping build a world-class investment fund that supports early-stage companies solving major global challenges with naturally-derived products and technologies.
She is a board member of LIFT Philanthropy Partners, the Fulmer Foundation and Douglas College. Kristi is also an advisory board member at Aisle (formerly Lunapads) and Private Debt Partners. She is a volunteer advisor for the fintech stream at MaRS Discovery District.
In 2019, Kristi was named as one of BC Business’s Most Influential Women in Finance. She was also nominated as one of Metro Vancouver YWCA Women of Distinction in 2015 and 2019. In 2017, she won the Canadian Venture Capital Association Ted Anderson Award for Community Leadership.
Kristi is a strong advocate for women in business, financial literacy for youth, health and wellness, and social entrepreneurship. She is a community advocate, proud mother, Canadian and global citizen.
