Paul Bate

Paul Bate is founder of Matterhorn Investment Management LLP. Paul graduated from Merton College in Oxford with a degree in physics and earned both an MBA and MSE from Stanford University. He has worked with the Swire Group in Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan and Schlumberger as a wireline engineer in China and Brunei. Paul founded an oil drilling company in Indonesia and was a contract manufacturer in Thailand and Vietnam. He worked at Nomura (Hong Kong) as head of Taiwan research and head of regional technology research, based in Taipei. Paul established Matterhorn Investment Management LLP in 2002. He speaks French, Mandarin, Thai and Indonesian proficiently.
