As a founder and chief operating officer of two international fintech businesses, William Lorenz is an experienced and agile leader with an in-depth understanding of financial technology, payments and the challenges of growing international businesses. William co-founded the prepaid cards specialist Ixaris Systems in 2002 and worked to grow the company from three to 100 employees, in excess of £10M revenue per annum and delivered a 10x exit to early-stage investors

In 2013, William co-founded Kwanji, an SME foreign exchange comparison business and worked across the business to grow its geographic footprint, headcount, and revenues. He has also completed a range of fintech projects as a consultant or mentor and is currently the payment strategy director of Modulr, a white label B2B payments as a service company in the scale-up phase, processing in excess of 10M transactions/£9B of value monthly.\

William’s specialties include all things fintech, operations, forex, payments, prepaid cards, e-commerce, fraud and AML controls, product definition, buy-side negotiation, financial modelling, management consultancy and mentorship. Outside of work, he enjoys wine tasting (in particular, a good pinot noir), photography and swimming.
