Role: Scientist
Site: CDL-Toronto
Streams: Matter, Prime
Jason likes to describe his research program as synthetic chemistry 2.0. The bulk of his work has focused on the design and development of novel reaction methodology, with an emphasis on practicality and efficiency. Most recently, his research has been guided by in depth reaction analysis using in situ techniques. This allows the global kinetics of the reaction to be elucidated and delivers the most complete picture of the entire process. These techniques have been applied to various systems, allowing the reaction design to be led by detail mechanistic investigation.
Jason’s specialties are Reaction progress kinetic analysis, ReactIR, reaction calorimetry, copper-mediated reactions and 1,2,3-triazole chemistry.
