John Cranfield is a Professor in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Guelph, where he also serves as the Associate Dean (External Relations) in the Ontario Agricultural College. Trained as an Agricultural Economist, John has undergraduate and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Guelph and a Ph.D. from Purdue University. His research focuses on understanding food choices, agricultural markets and policy, and economic well-being, with recent work examining consumer acceptance and willingness-to-pay for food products embodying product and process-based attributes.
