Jose Morales has 25 years of experience in the area of satellite operations, ground segment design, implementation and test. Mr Morales is currently the Head of Earth Observation Mission Operations Divisions at ESA (European Space Agency), where he is responsible for planning, procuring, implementing and deploying ground segment and mission operations for ESA and EU Earth observation Program. He is the Flight Director of all Earth Observation missions operated by ESOC during all phases of flight, including critical phases such as LEOP, Commissioning and De-orbiting phases.

Prior to this assignment, Mr Morales worked for 10 year in ESA’s science Program, as Rosetta Deputy Spacecraft Operations Manager, where he was deputy responsible for the operations of the Rosetta missions on its journey towards the Comet.
