Matthew Tracey has spent the last 10 years at Palantir Technologies, the world’s largest artificial intelligence software company. As one of the first non-technical hires outside the United States, he has led Palantir’s commercial, legal and strategic matters concerning the Australian, NZ, Canadian and other Western nations’ most critical institutions in the defence and intelligence communities. As customers with constantly evolving mission needs, Matthew and his team grew the various deployments across operational, mission and strategic use cases.
Matthew built out the early team in Australia, established the Sydney office and has worked in Palantir’s New York, London, and Palo Alto offices. In building the global partnerships business, he and his team created an entirely new business line and scaled it out to partners around the world, including global consultancy firms and local boutique AI partners.
In addition to his work at Palantir, Matthew is the founder of Maxwell Capital, an early-stage investment fund for critical national resilience projects. He is also a special advisor to the Quad Investors Network and a delegate to the Australian-American Leadership Dialogue. Prior to Palantir, Matthew was a lawyer working in technology, media and telecommunications at Allens in Sydney. He holds dual degrees in law and economics from Macquarie University and lives in Sydney, Australia.
