Michael Fergusson is the Principal at The New Bright Idea Inc., where he applies his extensive experience to mentor, advise, and build early-stage companies. Prior to The New Bright Idea, Michael was CEO of Ayogo Health Inc. (2011-2023), served three terms on the Board of Innovate BC (2018-2024), and over the past 30 years has held senior leadership and C-suite roles at innovative technology firms headquartered in Vancouver, Boston, and Chicago.

His work has earned him industry accolades, including being named one of the 500 most influential people in BC by Business in Vancouver and receiving the Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Pacific region. Michael’s commitment to innovation is evident in his contributions to the field of digital health, social networking, and gamification, including publications and patents related to dynamically adaptive interventions and shared decision-making systems.
