Robert is part of the Strategy and Open Innovation team supporting the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, and leads the effort in the Eastern U.S. His primary responsibilities comprise technology strategy/analysis, open innovation, and collaboration building. He is passionate about identifying novel technologies and their impact, as well as facilitating commercialization of early-stage technology through open innovation/collaboration. His primary areas of expertise include batteries & energy storage, quantum computing, new materials discovery, and more generally advanced materials. He works with technologies leaders across the R&D ecosystem, from academia to startups to established companies. Robert has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT and completed his post-doctoral research at Ghent University in new reactor technologies.
