Spencer Fraser has worked since 1983 in the defence, marine and aerospace sectors. He spent 20 years as an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he was privileged to serve for several years on exchange in France with La Marine Nationale and attend Staff College in the United Kingdom. Since his retirement in 2003, Spencer has led some of Canada’s leading aerospace and defence firms. He served as the president of Meggitt Training Systems Canada for 11 years, a recognized world leader in naval training, and then subsequently served as the CEO of Federal Fleets Services. Spencer is an alumnus of the University of Oxford Saïd School of Business, Queen’s University Smith School of Business, King’s College London and the Royal Military College of Canada. He founded the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems (CCUVS), has been a member of the Premier of Alberta’s SME Export Council and has sat on various public and private boards, including CADSI.
