Tekin Salimi is the founder and general partner of dao5, a $125 million experimental cryptocurrency venture fund that will convert into a decentralized autonomous organization. He was previously a general partner at Polychain Capital, where he focused on research and early-stage venture investments in emergent cryptocurrency protocols and companies. Following the investment, Tekin works closely with portfolio founders on growth strategy, business development, go-to-market, communications and other verticals. Tekin also serves as an advisor and board observer to the Blockchain Association, the preeminent lobbyist group advocating the policy interests of the blockchain industry within the U.S. Prior to joining the crypto industry, Tekin was a lawyer at Torys LLP where his practice focused on public and private M&A, securities and debt financing. He holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.
