Tim Edwards

Co-Founder & VP Strategy, Seeing Machines Ltd.

Tim Edwards is co-founder and VP of strategy at Seeing Machines Ltd., an Australian company specializing in human-centric AI for the transportation market. As a student, Tim studied computer science and systems engineering at ANU. He later joined the Robotics Systems Laboratory at the ANU Research School of Industrial Sciences and Engineering to work on humanoid robotics.

He helped Seeing Machines spin out of ANU in 2000, developing driver-monitoring technology, with the vision that the invention of robotic cars will drive the development of highly intelligent human-machine interfaces.

Tim is a technology strategist specializing in remote sensing, incorporating RADAR, vision and machine learning technology. He is also an environmentalist with a keen interest in feral animal control, biodiversity and climate solutions.
