CDL-West is honoured to accept the Strategic LifeSciences Partner of the Year Award at the 21st Annual Life Sciences BC Awards on April 4, 2019. This award acknowledges the outstanding contributions of an organization that has made a meaningful impact on the British Columbia life sciences sector in 2018/19. CDL-West was chosen this year in acknowledgment of promoting a world class ecosystem of entrepreneurship within the wider health industry in British Columbia. At its core, CDL provides support to early stage science-based ventures through objectives based mentoring, expert technical advice, hands-on student support, and growth resource access.

Paul Cubbon, CDL-West Site Lead, on behalf of the CDL-West team, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the mentors, partners, and wider CDL network, many of whom are also a part of the LSBC community, for their generous contributions to CDL-West’s initiatives. Our mission of commercially activating ambitious early stage technology ventures with the potential for positive impact on human health and wellness globally, would not be possible without these individuals and organizations.”

To date, CDL-West’s Health Stream has helped mentor 50 Ventures, across the life science and health spectrum operating out of 3 different continents, with 21 of those ventures being headquartered in British Columbia. In the coming year, CDL-West will continue to build its program in support of the local and global entrepreneurial ecosystem, bolstered by continued support of the invaluable community of Health focused mentors and partners.
