Birch Biosciences is an applied AI company that develops engineered enzymes for advanced plastic recycling. Using a proprietary, low‐energy enzymatic process, Birch Biosciences transforms polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste into drop‐in chemical building blocks. This delivers virgin-quality PET while overcoming the low recycling rates and quality limitations of traditional mechanical and chemical methods. The technology has been validated at the 50L scale and represents the first step toward building a comprehensive enzyme catalog capable of addressing a broad range of plastic polymers.
