Material Difference is a Cambridge University spin‐out developing an explainable AI solution that integrates geological, geophysical, geochemical, and historical drilling data to optimize drill targeting. It addresses the inefficiencies of traditional, gut‐feel exploration methods that lead to excessive, costly drilling and suboptimal resource confidence. The technology has demonstrated a reduction in data requirements by over 50% to achieve equivalent resource confidence, as validated through extensive back‐testing and early customer engagements.
