Alexander Förster (formerly Alexander Kennepohl) is a geographer turned AI product builder who spent eleven years co-founding and leading product at Plantix — among the earliest serious applications of AI to agriculture. As Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, he scaled it from zero to more than ten million yearly active users and a portfolio of products serving very different, demanding user groups — from smallholder farmers and retailers in Asia and Africa to large-scale commercial farms in Europe and the Americas — and counted several of the world’s largest agricultural-input companies as paying customers. He raised multiple venture rounds over the journey, which ended in a successful exit. A product builder who works from the user inward — he starts with the real problem people face and solves it with the digital tools at hand. He holds a Diploma in Geography, focused on GIS and soil science, from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
