Alexandre Le Bouthillier holds a PhD in operations research from the Université de Montréal (Canada) and completed a post doctorate program at the Université de Genève (Switzerland). He is co-founder and general partner of Linearis, the responsible AI health fund.

A financial angel, Alexandre invests talent and capital in technological ventures. He is the recipient of scholarships and other academic awards from government research funding agencies, corporations and professional associations (NSERC, FRQNT, Bombardier, Delcan, ATC, CRT). His research and work interests include operations research, artificial intelligence (machine learning, deep learning), healthcare, oncology, brain, big data and cloud infrastructure.

Alexandre co-founded Planora, an artificial intelligence and optimization company. He was the vice president of science and technology at RedPrairie (now Panasonic) following the acquisition of Planora. He also co-founded Imagia, an artificial intelligence-driven company in the fight against cancer. Alexandre’s board member positions include the Mila (Quebec Institute of Machine Learning headed by Prof. Yoshua Bengio) (five terms as full board member and honorific board member after) and board member of IVADO, MEDTEQ and Montreal InVivo.
