Alison Twiner

Board Director, Marketing & Strategy Advisor, Investor, Relentless Venture Fund

Alison Twiner has spent her career working at leading tech companies like Facebook, Instagram, Google and DoubleClick during the early stages of their growth in Canada. She was the group director of global marketing solutions at Facebook and Instagram and part of the Canadian leadership team from 2010 to 2017, where she grew the teams responsible for planning, guiding strategy, implementing business solutions, and building strategic marketing relationships. Prior to Facebook, Alison held a similar role as an early builder of the business of Google in Canada. As a marketing and strategy advisor, Alison partners with high growth and scale up companies to identify and advance strategic priorities, scale revenue, and manage complex work streams.

Throughout her career, Alison has used her curiosity about communications and technology to deliver solutions that drive growth in a changing digital and mobile world, for start-up and mature businesses, globally. She is passionate about helping companies scale, and is interested in businesses that empower people to live healthier lives and deliver transformative improvements to health outcomes.

Since 2014, Alison has served on the national board of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada and is the past chair of the board. She is an active director for private and start-up boards, and is an advisor at Relentless Venture Fund, an early-stage fund dedicated to investing in technology solutions that optimize health, activity, and longevity.
