Tony Tjan is the CEO and co-founder of Cue Ball, a permanent capital firm making early growth investments that can turn into long-term durable growth. Cue Ball partners with extraordinary purpose-driven entrepreneurs pursuing opportunities that can transform categories and positively shift cultures. In addition to Cue Ball, Tony is the co-founder and chairman of MiniLuxe (a clean beauty brand transforming the nail care industry) and was the founder of ZEFER (a pioneering internet strategy and web application firm that grew to over $100M, now merged with NEC). Previously, he served as the senior advisor to the CEO of Thomson, where he helped architect and lead its transformation into the world’s largest information services firm – Thomson Reuters.

Tony has written over 125 articles for Harvard Business Review and is a New York Times best-selling author of “Heart, Smarts, Guts and Luck” and “Good People.” He serves on the board of the Tory Burch Foundation and is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. Tony holds degrees from Harvard College, and Harvard Business School and was a two-time fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
