Anton Akusok is an artificial intelligence researcher, entrepreneur, and educator with a passion for advancing the practical application of machine learning and data-driven technologies. His career spans academia, research, and industry, with a focus on developing scalable AI systems and helping organizations leverage advanced analytics to solve complex real-world problems.
Anton’s interest in computing began at an early age, leading him to pursue studies in computer science and artificial intelligence across Europe and the United States. He earned his Master’s degree from Aalto University in Finland, where he specialized in machine learning, distributed systems, and large-scale computing, and later completed a PhD at the University of Iowa. His research and industry collaborations have covered a wide range of topics, including machine learning algorithms, high-performance computing, healthcare applications, and industrial AI solutions.
Throughout his career, Anton has worked closely with academic researchers, startups, and industrial partners to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical implementation. His experience spans the full innovation cycle, from algorithm development and technical validation to productization and deployment in real-world environments.
As a mentor, Anton enjoys helping founders navigate the technical and strategic challenges of building AI-driven companies, including technology selection, product development, data strategy, and scaling machine learning solutions from research prototypes into impactful products.
