Bonnie Bachman serves as the inaugural technology entrepreneurship office director. She is an experienced leader, researcher, and entrepreneur who will develop and lead the office.

Bonnie comes to UW from Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) where she served as a professor in the department of economics and director of S&T’s NSF I-Corps site program which enhanced existing innovation and entrepreneurship programs and expanded participation in tech transfer programs.

In addition to her experience at Missouri S&T, Bonnie has also led research and development (R&D) departments for several Fortune 100 and 500 firms, providing her with critical management skills that aided her in building a successful career in both R&D and corporate entrepreneurship.

Bonnie holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Benedictine University and earned both a master’s degree in mechanics and materials science and a doctoral degree in materials science and engineering from Rutgers University.
