Carlo Sirtori

Carlo is serving as a Chair Professor at École normale supérieure (ENS), where he is also the head of the Master programme “Quantum Engineering”. He has been working in the industry before joining the academia. After a few years of experience as a manager, he took an academic position to focus his research on quantum physics and technology. His scientific objectives are in the use of the fundament of quantum mechanics to conceive semiconductor devices with new functions to feed the hardware for quantum technologies. The pioneering research of his group is driven by technological visions and attracts high-quality students who work in the exciting scientific framework of the Laboratoire de Physique de l’ENS.
