Eden Dhaliwal is the co-founder of New Order, a community-led venture DAO focused on launching the next generation of DeFi. Eden was previously a partner at Outlier Ventures, where he built the firm’s crypto economics practice, a unit that examined crypto assets and blockchain business models for investment opportunities and provided advisory to portfolio projects on crypto-economic design and token engineering. In 2019, through his research with Outlier Ventures, he received the Blockchain Research Institute’s award for New Frontier in Enterprise Blockchain Research for leveraging blockchain technology to push the boundaries of new business models. He continues to support Outlier Ventures as a limited partner/member.

Eden has also previously worked as chief innovation officer at Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, where he created a blockchain lab (now Prescient Innovations) to experiment with innovative blockchain business models and use cases for creative industries. As chief executive officer of Berlin-based corporate venturing group, xyz futures, he helped develop and launch corporate ventures and startups by applying business model innovation to emerging technologies like AI, deep learning, IoT and more.

Eden holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Manitoba.
