James Dwyer is a veteran energy executive with over 45 years of experience in the global Oil & Gas industry. Throughout his career, he held executive leadership roles at Baker Hughes, where he spent 30 years, as well as Weatherford and Kerui Petroleum. His expertise spans product and applications engineering, product development, international operations, managed innovation, and global business development.

James is currently the Assistant Director of Employer Relations at Texas A&M University’s Career Center where he facilitates employer–student connections to enhance student readiness for career opportunities and talent acquisition. James is an active mentor and investor through his business, Carport Coffee.

James earned a BS in Geology from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Texas A&M University. James has a deep technical background in upstream technologies, evidenced by his 6 patents and 14 professional publications.
