Dr. Jonathan Anderson is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at Memorial University whose research spans computer security, privacy, operating systems, and applied cryptography. His recent work includes marine cybersecurity training and systems R&D, secure data acquisition for marine systems, capability- based sandboxing, and energy-efficient secure communication in medical IoT. His research has been funded by Canadian (NSERC, CSA, DND, Mitacs, NCC) and US (DARPA) sources and has included collaboration with industrial partners. He has also led or co-led externally-funded training initiatives (e.g., National Cybersecurity Consortium Training Stream; NSERC CREATE).
