Josh Leftwich is Vice-President of Operations and Strategic Development (U.S.) at Laramide, an international mining company focused on developing high-quality uranium projects in the US and Australia to help fuel the global shift toward clean nuclear energy. In his role, Josh leads the company’s U.S. uranium portfolio, strategic growth initiatives, regulatory affairs, project development, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
He has previously held senior leadership positions with Cameco Resources, Uranium Energy Corp., Mestena Uranium, and the Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association (TACA). As President and CEO of TACA, Josh represented the multi-billion dollar heavy materials and construction resource industry across the state of Texas.
Josh is recognized for his unique ability to bridge technical, regulatory, operational, and commercial disciplines to unlock value in complex industries. He has worked extensively with agencies including the NRC, EPA, DOE, BIA, DOT, and numerous state regulatory organizations.
Josh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences from Texas A&M and was selected to participate in the prestigious World Nuclear University Summer Institute.
