Laurent has a worldwide business and industry experience, spanning across 35 countries with an in-depth understanding of regulations and market practices. His involvement ranged from setting up companies to implementing tools and processes, hiring a complete team and leading them to profit, as well as setting-up funding/investment programs

He has been working in the investment industry since 1986 and has been with Amundi since 2010 first as Global Head of Sales and Marketing, then as Head of the Institutional Clients Division and then as Deputy Head of the Institutional and Corporate Clients Division. Today Laurent is the CEO of Amundi Japan. Amundi is a listed global Asset Management company managing 1.6 trillion euros of assets (#1 in Europe, #8 in the world).

He previously worked at Société Générale Group. From 1986 to 1993, he was a trader and fund manager in Société Générale’s Fixed Income department. From 1993 to 1996, he was the founding President of Société Générale FIMAT Trading Management in Chicago. He then served as CEO of SGAM Singapore from 1997 to 2001, SGAM Japan from 2001 to 2004, and was CEO for Asia from 2005 to 2008. He was appointed as Global Sales and Marketing Director from 2008 to 2009 and Deputy CEO of SGAM Group from 2009 to 2010.
