Michael Dahlweid brings a clinician’s perspective to the challenge of building trustworthy AI in healthcare. Drawing on his years of experience in clinical medicine, he works at Dedalus on the product strategy and implementation of AI systems that meet a higher bar than technical soundness alone — they have to be clinically trustworthy, with real accountability for what happens when an algorithm gets it wrong.
He extends that same commitment into academia through his work with Hangzhou Dianzi University and Jiaxing University, helping shape how the next generation of health AI is developed and taught. For Michael, patient safety isn’t a feature layered on at the end of a product cycle — it’s the foundation everything else is built on.
