Adam Pidlisecky is an associate professor in the Department of Geoscience and a researcher in applied geophysics and hydrogeophysics at the University of Calgary. He was also the chief research officer and currently is a strategic advisor for Seequent, a product and platform business that is providing solutions to the mining, civils, environmental and energy sectors.
Adam was the CEO and founder of 3point Science Inc., a 3D web visualization company before it was acquired by Seequent in 2016. His intersectional experience as both a scientist and an entrepreneur has enabled him to develop solutions to complex problems. As a scientist, he has gained deep domain expertise around computational geoscience techniques and applications while always maintaining a focus on the end-user. On the other hand, as an entrepreneur, he has focused on how to scale solutions to create a positive impact.
Adam has a PhD and master’s in geophysics from Stanford University, along with a bachelor’s in geophysics and geology from the University of British Columbia.
