Ross Mason

Founder, HINRI (High Impact Network of Responsible Innovators)

Ross Mason is the former Chairman of the Georgia Department of Community Health Board – the 3rd largest health plan in the United States with a $13.2 billion annual budget and 660,000 covered lives. He is the former Chairman of the Metro Atlanta United Way’s Health Access Board and former Chairman of the Board of Visitors of Georgia Regents University. He is the current Chairman of the Commercialization Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors for the Rick Hansen Institute in Vancouver, BC. He also served on Emory University’s Healthcare Advisory Board and as a Senior Fellow at the Georgia Public Policy Foundation – a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of Georgians through public policy that enhances economic opportunity and freedom. He was a member of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees. Ross holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech where he was student body president and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from The Wharton School.

Prior to his accident in 2007, Ross was actively involved in triathlons, wreck, cave, and ice diving, surfing, rock and ice climbing, and was a NASCAR trained driver. He lived and worked in San Francisco from 1999 to 2004 where he started and sold a healthcare software company. He also worked for Volkswagen’s 280 million euro Healthcare Venture Accelerator Fund in Germany, was an Associate in Private Banking at Morgan Stanley, and created a real estate investment and development company in Moscow, Russia that he owned and operated for 12 years.

Today, Ross has a consulting firm called Samaritan’s Road International (SRI) and runs a venture-philanthropy called the High Impact Network of Responsible Innovators (HINRI) that focuses on solving today’s most difficult healthcare challenges. Ross is currently working on the creation of a Global Health Innovation Campus in Atlanta.
