CDL-Estonia is located at the University of Tartu, Estonia, and currently offers a Digital Society stream for early-stage founders working on digital governance, cyber security, and public health or genomics innovations. Estonia has long been globally recognized for being the world’s most advanced digital society — pioneering frictionless government e-services such as e-voting, e-banking, e-healthcare, and online school education (long before the COVID-19 pandemic) — and for having the highest ratio of start-ups per capita in the world.
Participants of CDL-Estonia will have an opportunity to develop and pilot their business models on real data produced by its digital government ecosystem (300 government registries). Additionally, the University of Tartu represents the top 1% of the world’s most-cited universities and research institutions in the fields of clinical medicine, chemistry, biology, biochemistry and biochemical engineering. Together with the University’s rich history in research and development, Estonia’s thriving digital infrastructure and emphasis on robust public-private partnerships, CDL-Estonia will further accelerate the global commercialization of digital society innovations.
For founders pursuing commercial opportunities predicated on creatively, securely and responsibly fusing data from public and private digital registries to create business models that transform human societies.
