Louise Smith is passionate about how financial services can become more open, more accessible and more inclusive for customers and talent. Louise has undertaken a number of roles in leading UK Banks and, more recently, the London Insurance market. Louise was at the heart of preparing the Royal Bank of Scotland (including NatWest) for the future during the organisation’s significant turnaround to profit. She was responsible for leading and implementing the Retail Bank’s ‘Digital First’ strategy. Louise was appointed as the first Chief Digital Officer in the history of Lloyd’s of London. She co-wrote Lloyd’s Blueprint Two Strategy and product roadmap, one of the most ambitious digital and data transformations in the industry. Louise is now leading the WTW digital trading strategy for commercial lines. She is also Chair of Innovate Finance, supporting the advancement of the fintech community and the next generation of financial services innovators and Chair of Stripe UK Board.
