Curtis Cook

Investor & Founder, Roda Energy Corporation

Curtis is an active investor in early-stage companies and sits on both profit and not-for-profit boards. He is the Founder of Roda Energy Corporation, a company focused on renewable energy generation. As an entrepreneur, Curtis was the Founder and former CEO of three successful oil and gas companies; a heavy oil business (EV: $75mm), a shallow gas business (EV: $15mm), and a light oil shale business (EV: $850mm); all within Western Canada. Upon exiting, all three companies yielded excellent returns on capital invested. With 25 years of industry experience, he commenced in the Aeronautic industry with FAMAT(Safran/GE) and then in the Oil and Gas Industry with Archer Resources Ltd (top Canadian performing IPO in 1993), Renaissance Energy Ltd (most active Canadian driller in the late 1990s), Exodus Energy Ltd, Vesta Energy Ltd, and Vesta Energy Corp. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and BA in French Literature from the University of Calgary.
