Executive Coach & Non Executive Director, Geoscape Australia

Karen is deep intellectual property specialist, as well as a non-executive director and coach. Her experience includes 18 years at Telstra, including as Supervising Counsel for the Intellectual Property Team, as well as leading the legal support for Big Data and Procurement, and sitting on their respective SLTs. She successfully co-founded an IP strategy consultancy, a joint venture with a listed company. The focus of the business was to support clients to drive value from their IP assets, and mitigate IP related risks. The business was integrated into global IP law firm, Davies Collison Cave, as a new business IP Consulting business unit. Karen has recently pivoted to working as an executive coach at Directioneering, delivering empathetic and strategic support during career transition. She also has a keen interest in governance, and has held various board roles, including multiple Chair positions. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of a location intelligence company, and is Chair of their Audit & Risk Committee.
