Mathias Schlecht

President and CEO, ColdStream Energy

Mathias Schlecht is President and CEO of ColdStream Energy, focusing on the development and commercialization of gas separation technology that captures valuable NGLs while providing pipeline quality fuel gas in a cost-effective way. Previously, Mathias served as CTO and then CEO at Biota Technology, combining deep oilfield services experience with innovations in data science and biotech to optimize lifting costs while reducing environmental footprint.

Mathias spent over 20 years at Baker Hughes in leadership roles including VP Technology Drilling & Evaluation, VP Drilling Services, Chief Engineer, and VP Enterprise Technology. Throughout his 28-year career in the energy sector, Mathias has focused on understanding customer and market needs while driving business results through development and commercialization of differentiated products and service solutions.

Mathias holds a Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) and Dipl.-Ing. (M.Sc.) in mechanical engineering from the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.
