Salim helps founders turn complex ideas into clear, compelling strategies — the kind that customers, investors, and partners immediately understand and want to support. He specializes in sharpening storytelling, clarifying value propositions, and helping teams identify the few priorities that matter most at each stage of growth.
That clarity comes from experience on both sides of the table. Salim spent over half his career in senior commercial roles in the pharmaceutical industry, where he consistently gravitated toward the hardest problems — launching new divisions, building new initiatives, and helping teams move with startup-like speed inside a large organization. He eventually made the leap into the startup world directly, becoming a partner in an early-stage, two person cleantech software company with limited resources, and an ambitious mission to accelerate decarbonization. Over five years, he and his partners grew it into a multimillion-dollar business, secured several of North America’s largest utility companies as customers, and scaled the team to 40.
The company was eventually acquired and combined with several other startups to form a much larger 500+ person organization. As Vice President of Business Development, Salim led strategic partnerships and growth initiatives with utilities, some of the world’s largest (and smallest) technology companies, and other major industry players.
Today, Salim works with high-growth companies as an investor, strategic advisor, and mentor. He is especially passionate about supporting mission-driven founders using AI to tackle large systemic challenges in healthcare.
