Steven Woodside is Head of Process Development at Aspect Biosystems in Vancouver, advancing the manufacture of bioprinted tissue technologies for therapeutic applications. A chemical engineer with over 25 years of experience in biotechnology and cell therapy, he specializes in process development, GMP manufacturing, and commercialization of innovative products.
Previously, Steven was Senior Director of Engineering at Notch Therapeutics, where he developed scalable, GMP-compliant processes for iPSC-derived T-cell therapies. Earlier in his career, Steven worked in Research and Development at STEMCELL Technologies, launching flagship product lines in the areas of cell purification and assay automation including the company’s first GMP-compliant product. Steven is an inventor on more than 20 granted patents covering eight inventions.
