The Artificial Intelligence stream at CDL-Doha is an industry-oriented initiative focused on advancing deployment-ready AI solutions. Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase, where the challenge is no longer building models, but making them secure, efficient, and reliable in real-world applications. As organisations increasingly adopt AI across critical industries, they face growing constraints related to security risks, infrastructure limitations, operational reliability, and regulatory requirements. The CDL-Doha AI stream supports ventures addressing these challenges, with applications across cyber resilience, AI systems and infrastructure, supply chain intelligence, and autonomous physical systems.
The mission of the Artificial Intelligence Stream at CDL-Doha is to accelerate the transition from experimental AI capabilities to robust, scalable, and economically viable systems. Our goal is to enable the creation of ventures that can deploy AI in high-stakes environments, where performance, security, and reliability are essential, and where systems must operate under real-world constraints.
CDL achieves this by providing structured mentorship from a global network of serial entrepreneurs, experienced operators, scientists, technologists, and investors who have played critical roles in building leading deep-tech and AI companies. Participating startups work closely with these mentors to refine objectives, prioritise time and resources, validate technical and commercial assumptions, raise capital, and engage with experts operating at the forefront of research and industrial deployment.
The startups attend five in-person objective-setting sessions between October and June. CDL is a non-profit organization. Learn more about the CDL Program.
Who Should Apply?
The Artificial Intelligence Stream is best suited to ventures or projects developing novel solutions in four main areas: AI Security & Cyber Resilience, AI Systems & Scalability, AI for Supply Chain, Logistics & Trade Resilience, and Physical AI for Robotics, Manufacturing & Engineering. This stream is tailored towards early-stage companies (early venture or growth) or even projects (pre-incorporation). However, startups at all levels of maturity will be considered.
