Apply to the CDL program

For founders developing high impact and scalable solutions at the intersection of biology, technology, and healthcare.

The BioTech Stream at CDL-Paris supports ventures shaping the future of therapeutics, life sciences industrialization and the integration of AI and engineering into life sciences by accelerating the translation of scientific discovery into real-world applications.

CDL startups work with these mentors to sharpen objectives, prioritize time and resources, raise capital, and engage with experts working on the frontiers of research.

The startups attend five in-person objective-setting sessions between October and June. CDL is a non-profit organization. There are no fees for participation and CDL does not take any equity. Learn more about the CDL Program.

Who Should Apply?

The BioTech Stream is particularly suited to technical and scientific founders tackling challenges across therapeutics, AI-enabled biology, and life sciences infrastructure, driven by novel advances in biology, computation, and engineering. This stream is tailored towards early-stage companies (early venture or growth), however, startups at all levels of maturity will be considered.

Example Innovation Areas

Our Mentors

CDL mentors include accomplished entrepreneurs, experienced operators, active angel and venture investors, world-leading scientists, engineers, and economists. Mentors meet every eight weeks in Paris to help founders set objectives over the program’s nine-month duration.

Companies accepted to the CDL BioTech Stream benefit from mentors and partners with the experience, motivation, network, and capital to navigate the scientific, technical, and operational complexities of developing and scaling biotech and Techbio innovations. Mentor and venture relationships are built through CDL engineered interactions and in some cases extend beyond the program through ongoing advisory roles. These experts meet with companies periodically to evaluate their technologies, suggest improvements, and to explore formal advising engagements.
