Celerity Craft has developed the Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicle (DACV), an amphibious, three-hulled vessel that reduces drag and fuel costs through a novel air-cushion lift and thrust system. Traditional marine vessels suffer inefficiencies stemming from hull drag, leading to high fuel use, greater emissions, slower speeds, and higher operating costs. The DACV overcomes these inefficiencies by lifting the vessel out of the water, reducing drag and improving fuel efficiency, with added benefits such as lower wake, less noise, smoother rides, and reduced seasickness. These advances position the DACV as a platform technology that can replace conventional vessel designs across military, commercial, and consumer sectors.
