TerraBarrier AB has developed a patent-pending process to grow a dense, porous-free, ceramic barrier by transforming the atoms on the alloy’s surface. This technology protects components in extreme environments where conventional coatings fail, especially on complex geometries. Validation showed successful coating of a tube with an inner diameter under 1 mm while maintaining near-zero hydrogen permeability, indicating potential component lifetimes up to five times longer.
