Sudhakar Tomar is a renowned agri-food entrepreneur behind some of the Middle East’s early agri-unicorns, involving the physical supply chain management of millions of tonnes of agricultural produce each year from more than 50 origin countries to over 1,000 businesses across 100 countries. He leads the India–Middle East Agri Alliance, a multilateral, cross-border venture-building ecosystem with a footprint in 22 countries. A champion of sustainable agri-food ventures, he advocated for the UN-declared International Year of Pulses (2016). He advises governments and multilateral bodies, including the FAO, GPC, and the UN. Tomar is a globally recognised keynote speaker and frequently serves as a judge for global start-up hackathons. He is listed in Forbes’ Top 100 Indian Leaders in the Arab World and has received numerous awards, including the GPC President’s Award, the Global Agriculture Award, Business Leader of the Year (Government of Dubai), and the Outstanding Contribution Award (Government of India).
