Agronomy Director, SLM Partners

João Roseiro is the Agronomy Director at SLM Partners, where since 2021 led the development and implementation of sustainable agricultural investment strategies in Portugal and Spain. His work focuses on promoting regenerative agricultural practices and managing investments in tangible assets such as farmland, aligning with the growing demand for sustainability in the agroforestry sector. At SLM Partners, João combines technical and strategic expertise to integrate financial and ecological sustainability at the core of agricultural investment models.
Before joining SLM Partners, João was operations and sales manager at a Turkish family group, where he was responsible for establishing and managing more than 150 hectares of walnut and almond orchards in Portugal and Spain. Prior to that, he was a co-founder and partner of Portuguese companies focused on the production and export of berries to EU markets. He began his career in golf course construction and maintenance.
In addition, João has been a member of the Board of Directors of PortugalNuts since its foundation in 2020. He has led the Crop Protection working group and currently leads the Sustainability working group, contributing to the development and long-term resilience of the nut sector in Portugal.
He is the father of three children, who shape his professional awareness and reinforce his commitment to developing an agricultural sector that promotes the long-term well-being of society as a whole.
