Mr. Brian Kobus serves as Managing Partner at OMERS Ventures. he also serves as a Board Member at Alida. He served as a Board member at D2L. He served as a Board Member at Manifold and LeadSift. He serves as a Board Member at Ranovus & Smile.io. Previously, he served as a Board Observer at Nudge. In his role as Partner at OMERS Ventures, he is responsible for contributing to the identification and execution of investment opportunities for OMERS Ventures in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors. He brings 15 years of experience in technology, venture capital, and finance to his role at OMERS Ventures. Previously, he was VP of Technology Alliances at ScribbleLive, a leading content marketing software-as-a-service platform, where he was responsible for establishing, managing, and growing relationships with partners. Before joining ScribbleLive, he was with Summerhill Venture Partners, a TMT-focused venture capital firm where he worked closely with several successful high-growth companies. Earlier in his career, he worked on numerous M&A and financing transactions, first at Morgan Stanley and then at Bell Canada Enterprises. He holds an MBA and an Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and is also a CFA charter holder.
