Greg Kunst

CEO and Board Member, Valitor

Greg Kunst is a life sciences CEO, board chairman, and investor with more than 25 years of experience building and leading biotech and medical device companies. He is currently CEO of Valitor, Executive Chairman of Biomimetix and CynosBio, and a board member at Feliqs, Pr3vent, and SIME Diagnostics.

Greg is best known for his tenure as CEO of Aurion Biotech, where he scaled the company into a fully integrated cell therapy business, raised more than $120 million, and secured the world’s first regulatory approval of a cell therapy for corneal endothelial disease with Vyznova in Japan. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Glaukos, where he helped grow the company from an early-stage startup to a public, $350 million business, and at Alcon and Kinetic Concepts.

Across his career he has raised more than $250 million and brought products to patients in over 85 countries, with a focus on the hardest problems in human health: blinding eye diseases, neurodegeneration, oncology, and neglected tropical diseases. He also serves as Special Envoy and Senior Advisor to the UN Permanent Observer Mission for Water & Sanitation for Africa. Greg was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2024. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University.
