Lo Biosciences’ invention, the “Cinna,” is a blood plasma collection technology that replaces the centrifuge, allowing anyone to collect high quality blood from the comfort of their home. Healthcare has moved closer to the patient (e.g. telehealth), but blood testing remains stuck in central labs because of stringent sample collection requirements. Lo Bio has conducted three pilot studies with industry leaders, received $1.6M in grant funding, and are protected by two patents.
