Dr. Aaron Totemeier is a nuclear technology developer with nearly two decades of experience advancing next-generation nuclear fuels. He has led complex, multi-national R&D programs spanning fuel design, manufacturing, qualification, and commercialization, working with governments, utilities, laboratories, and private industry worldwide.
He previously served as VP of Fuel Cycle Technology at Lightbridge Corporation, directing fuel innovation activities and commercialization strategies for novel nuclear fuels, and later founded 1932 Advisors, LLC, a consultancy supporting C-suite and senior management in the advanced nuclear technology sector. Aaron recently joined the Electric Power Research Institute as a Principal Technical Leader, where he leads research in advancing nuclear fuels for existing and next-generation nuclear reactors.
He holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and has contributed to national and international forums on advanced reactor technologies, nuclear fuel innovation, and sustainable energy. Aaron is passionate about mentoring future leaders in clean energy and helping bridge the gap between cutting-edge R&D and real-world deployment.
