Alessandra Lanzara is Charles Kittel Professor of Physics at UC Berkeley and a Senior Faculty Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She is a recognized world leader in quantum materials research with over 180 scientific papers and 4 patents. Lanzara founded QuAD, a company advancing quantum detection technologies. She has made groundbreaking discoveries in high temperature superconductors and graphene synthesis. Honors include the Marie Goeppert-Mayer Award (2009), Fibonacci Prize (2016), and election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the European Academy of Science in 2022.
