Andrea is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and advisor with a proven track record in funding, leading, and scaling startups from inception to multi-million-dollar strategic acquisitions.
He is the co-founder of Fluidmesh Networks, a spin-off of MIT and Politecnico di Milano, which developed innovative wireless technologies enabling the Internet of Things. Fluidmesh manufactured advanced radio systems and delivered connectivity solutions for some of the world’s most challenging environments. Its technology played a critical role in driving automation across industries including security, entertainment, mining, rail, ports and terminal operations, material handling, robotics, and defense. Today, Fluidmesh solutions are trusted by government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and global enterprises to maintain cutting-edge operations and a competitive advantage.
In addition, Andrea founded Pantascene, a cloud-based platform for video and sensor interoperability designed to enhance situational awareness and emergency preparedness in the public safety sector. Remarkably, the venture was acquired by the Hitachi Group in September 2014, just 18 months after incorporation.
